Every Bancroft advisor gets a branded subdomain portal. Firm and Enterprise advisors get full white-label control including custom colors, fonts, logos, and custom domains. This article covers what is available at each tier and how to set it up. For the marketing context on why white-label depth matters more than the rented-corner-logo model competitors offer, see White-label estate planning for RIAs and firms.

Subdomain portal (all tiers)

Every advisor can claim a subdomain like yourfirm.usebancroft.com. This becomes your client-facing URL. When clients log in through your subdomain, they see your firm name in the sidebar and your branding (to the extent your tier allows).

To set your subdomain, go to Settings > Branding and enter your desired firm slug. The platform checks availability and registers it with Vercel automatically. Your subdomain is live within minutes.

Your invite links automatically use your subdomain when one is configured. This means every client invitation email points to your branded portal, not the generic Bancroft URL.

Basic branding (all tiers)

All advisors can set:

  • Firm name: displayed in the sidebar, emails, and client-facing pages.
  • Firm slug: your subdomain URL.
  • Logo initial: a single character shown in the sidebar when no logo image is uploaded.

Full white-label (Firm and Enterprise)

Firm and Enterprise tiers include the complete branding controls:

  • Logo upload: your firm logo appears in the sidebar, login page, and client portal. Upload a PNG or SVG. The platform auto-resizes for different contexts. You can adjust the logo height with a slider.
  • Favicon upload: your icon appears in the browser tab. Upload a square PNG (at least 32x32 pixels).
  • Accent color: the gold accent used throughout the platform can be replaced with your brand color.
  • Background and sidebar colors: customize the platform chrome to match your brand palette.
  • Body and heading fonts: choose from the available font options to match your firm's typography.

Changes are previewed in real time on the branding page before you save. The preview shows how your sidebar, login page, and client portal will look.

Custom domains (Firm and Enterprise)

Firm and Enterprise advisors can use their own domain (for example, planning.yourfirm.com) instead of a usebancroft.com subdomain. Setup requires adding a CNAME record in your DNS provider pointing to Vercel's DNS. The platform handles SSL certificate provisioning automatically.

To configure a custom domain, go to Settings > Branding, enter the domain, and follow the DNS instructions. The platform verifies the CNAME record and provisions the certificate. Allow up to 24 hours for DNS propagation.

Email branding

All transactional emails (invitations, document notifications, vault alerts, check-in reminders) are sent from your firm's branded identity. The sender name, footer text, and reply-to address reflect your brand settings. On Enterprise accounts with custom domains, emails can be sent from your own domain with proper DKIM/SPF configuration.

What does not get branded

Generated legal documents (wills, trusts, POAs) do not carry firm branding. This is intentional. Legal documents are the client's documents, not the firm's marketing materials. They include a document reference footer with a unique identifier for traceability, but no firm logos or brand colors.
