About Bancroft

A complete estate-planning practice. Built for advisors.

A signed trust still leaves practical work to do. Accounts may need new titles. Beneficiary forms need attention. Clients need someone to keep track of the next step.

Bancroft gives advisors a place to coordinate that process. Household information, document progress and funding tasks stay connected, so your team can see what has been done and what needs follow-up.

The platform brings together guided document questionnaires, state-specific templates, funding letters, a Digital Safe and your client portal. Every plan carries your logo, colors and fonts on a branded subdomain. Firm adds your own domain.

Bancroft is built for financial advisors, financial planners and retirement planners who own the client relationship. They are the professionals a household relies on to guide its broader financial life, and estate planning belongs inside that relationship.

Advisors organize information and coordinate the process. Clients make their own decisions, with licensed attorneys providing individual legal advice when needed. Each firm should review its service scope with counsel and its compliance team.

Our focus is the work between meetings: the unanswered question, the missing record and the transfer waiting for confirmation. That is where Bancroft helps your team follow through.

Who builds Bancroft

Bancroft is built and operated by Bancroft Systems LLC, a software company.

Bancroft is not a law firm. It does not give legal advice, and it does not perform attorney review. Our mailing address is on the contact page.

How the documents are made

Each state’s templates are drafted from that state’s statutes and cite the provisions they rely on. Code assembles each document from those templates when it is generated; no language model writes or edits a document’s text.

Template changes follow a controlled release process, and each generated document records the template version that produced it.

Laws change. Templates are updated when they do, and no template is guaranteed to reflect the latest requirements. See the disclosures for details.

Where attorneys come in

When a household’s answers raise an issue the templates are not written to resolve, the document is held for attorney review.

The household engages an independent attorney licensed in its state, or takes the draft to an attorney of its choosing. Bancroft takes no part of the fee. Listed attorneys are not available in every state. Read more on where the attorney comes into an advisor-led estate plan.
